Hassle Free Clinic recognizes the unique sexual and reproductive health needs of trans and two-spirit people and people of trans experiences. We are committed to improving our services, and in July 2006 we hired a trans man and a trans woman to advise and train our staff.
The clinic acknowledges that the gendered division of the clinic can compromise the accessibility and quality of care for some trans people. We encourage all trans and two-spirit people and people of trans experiences to visit the clinic where they feel more comfortable.
For the moment, there are some limitations on this:
We are working hard to make our waiting room into a comfortable space for all trans and two-spirit people and people of trans experiences. Come on in and take up space, check out our pamphlets and short articles on trans issues.
If you do feel uncomfortable in the waiting room, tell front desk staff that you would prefer to wait on the couch inside the office—a quieter, less public spot.
We are eager to get your ideas on how we can make Hassle Free Clinic as accessible as possible. Send us an e-mail at trans@hasslefreeclinic.org.
