Paul Taylor: 14 August 1963 to 23 April 2001

Paul was one of Hassle Free Men/trans clinic’s first volunteers. He worked at the front desk once a week for almost a year, helping staff with patient intake and clerical work, and training new volunteers.

As Paul’s health declined, it became harder for him to come to the clinic, and he eventually resigned. Paul made an important contribution to the {$hfcMenLC}, taking over front desk duties at a time when the clinic was becoming increasingly busy. We were very sad to hear of his death from AIDS related causes.

Wayne Weese: 2 July 1966 to July 2001

Wayne was a very active volunteer in the Men/trans clinic, sometimes working twice a week, and always available for last minute replacements. He chose to work at the Clinic because it was important to him to give something back to the community, by volunteering at an AIDS service agency.

Wayne’s soft spoken and efficient manner was very reassuring to patients, while staff appreciated his finesse in managing the front desk during busy clinics, often without any help.

His death was quite sudden, a shock to his friends and clinic staff. Wayne was a pleasure to work with, and we’ll miss him a lot.
